Tricon Wear Solutions Partners with Domite® to Expand Wear Protection Offerings for Mining and Aggregate Operations
[Irondale, AL – April 13, 2026] Tricon Wear Solutions is announcing a new partnership with Domite® Wear Technology Inc. , expanding Tricon’s portfolio of mission-critical wear products for mining and aggregate operations. Tricon will stock select parts and sizes of Domite chocky bars, wear buttons, and heel shrouds at its US-based distribution centers for rapid delivery to customers, providing maintenance teams with proven solutions for protecting high-wear areas on buckets and mobile equipment, as well as fixed plant assets. Domite is widely recognized for developing some of the most abrasion-resistant wear products used in heavy industry. Domite products combine an extremely hard chrome, white iron wear face—typically exceeding 700 Brinell hardness—with a mild steel backing plate, achieved through a metallurgical diffusion bond. These laminated parts deliver exceptional abrasion resistance while maintaining toughness for impact-prone applications. The mild steel backing plate allows components to be welded and formed via conventional methods (no pre- or post- heating required) without compromising structural integrity. These products are used extensively on excavators, wheel loaders, and shovel buckets, as well as in other mobile and fixed-plant wear applications throughout mining and aggregate operations.
